“Jesus is my friend.  I have a friend in Jesus by SonSeed” (all of this is real)

Kudos to the reggae religious music mix, and to the guitar player is clearly a hippie.  I mean, no shoes and those dance moves? Come on!

This picture is of the Sheet Stealer, a product designed by Noam Toran, which over the course of the night slowly steals the sheets until the now awake individual rolls over and takes it back. He designed this piece to recreate both bad and good aspects of being in a relationship.
Here is an interview with Noam Toran, that gives some more information about him and his projects.
Hat tip from a fellow sheet stealer.

BlakRoc -“Ain’t Nothing Like You (Hoochie Coo)”

This is a collaboration project with the Black Keys, Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Jim Jones, Raekwon, Ludacris, ODB(?!), and more.

They have webisodes on youtube documenting the process until the album comes out the Friday after Thanksgiving.  I am not a massive rap fan, in fact I kind of disdain most of it, but man the Black Keys lay down some dirty beats…

This part especially brings back fond memories of eating and breathing skateboarding.  Thanks to Kyle for reminding of that.

Digital Artist Jer Thorp has produced a series of appealing visualizations depicting popular words, top organizations and personalities mentioned by The New York Times in different years between 1981 and 2001. Data was taken from the NYTimes Article Search API: developer.nytimes.com.
The first image is a visualization of the frequency of the words ‘regulation’ and ‘innovation’ in New Yort Times articles since 1981, while the second highlights the main personalities and organizations, with corresponding ties, on the year 1984.
You can also see all of Jer’s executions in his flickr set.
This is just one of many amazing visualizations from the website; VISUALCOMPLEXITY.com.

A friend Greg, passed along the website of the Pieter Hugo.  This photograph is one of his more popular but all of his collections are really quite stunning.  Have a look.
