Deciding TV shows Appropriate for Teaching English
Teacher: Do you know of any TV shows that would be good?
Me: Umm, good question...
Teacher: I was thinking 'Friends.'
Me: I could see how the kids might enjoy that.
Teacher: But I think the show conflicts with Korean ideas about relationships with the men and women living together and not being married.
Me: That is understandable
Teacher: So I think we are going to get 'Prison Break.' That is a very good show. Sometimes violent, but good.

I just learned Hangul
Easier than I expected. Took me about 45 minutes of students yelling in my face. It was way easier once you group them into well…groups. For example, the D M B/V and P/F symbols are all related. Also the G/K N K/C are all related. Lastly the J/Z S/SH CH are all related. O H are kinda related. Next thing you know, consonants done. Vowels can be grouped in a similar fashion as well.
Apparently I graduated
So word on the street (facebook street) is that the graduation ceremony for Glasgow was today. Kinda forgot all about it. But I now have a Master’s degree. Weird. But I think my celebration was last night.
